In the 100 metres T12 final, Rakeshbhai Bhatt and Shreyansh Trivedi finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Norway's Salum Ageze Kashafali clocked 10.42 seconds to improve his world record time and also recorded the championship record.
In the men's long jump T47, Vikas was the best placed Indian as he finished sixth with a 6.96m jump while Ajay Singh finished 10th. In the men's javelin throw F57, Parveen Kumar was placed eighth with a best throw of 41.92m, while Hem Chandra finished 10th with his personal best throw of 41.17m, .
There were several records broken by decorated foreign athletes, none better than Malaysia's Abdul Latif Romly, who completed a hat-trick of long jump T20 world titles with a best attempt of 7.67m. Also, Ukraine's Volodymyr Ponomarenko threw the shot put in T12 category to 17.39m, which was an improvement of the world record. Bulgaria's Ruzhdi claimed his sixth successive world title in the men's shot put F55 category with a new world record of 12.94m. Nassima Saifi retained her title in the women's discus throw F57 category and Swiss wheelchair legend and 5000m T54 world record holder Catherine Debrunner added another world title to her name as she clocked the winning time of 12:18.29.
