Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal perhaps was too excited while wishing his fans on August 14, the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence, that he ended up spelling it wrong.

He shared a graphic, which read ‘Happy Indepence Day’.

What happened next will undoubtedly be a memorable experience for Kamran, as netizens assumed responsibility for teaching him English.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
