Punjab Police edge out BSF to lift Liberals hockey trophy
Punjab Police beat BSF in the shootout to win the 57th Liberals hockey tournament at PPS Nabha. Punjab Police edged out BSF 4-2 in the shootout after the game ended 3-3 in regulation time.
BSF opened the scoring in the 5th minute through Harmandeep Singh. Punjab Police equalised with a penalty stroke in the 25th minute converted by Hardeep Singh. BSF again went ahead with Amarbir Singh converting a penalty corner in the 27th minute. BSF increased the lead when Harmandeep scored his second in the 39th minute. The Policemen hit back with vigour and made the score 3-3 after a penalty stroke goal by Hardeep in the 46th minute and a penalty corner conversion by captain Karanbir Singh in the 52nd minute.
