Punjab Police thrashed PSPCL Patiala 4-1 on the third day of 47th Liberals hockey tournament at PPS Nabha. Varinder Singh (22nd minute), Sukhmandeep Singh (30th), Kanwarjit Singh (37th) and Karanbir Singh (49th) scored for Punjab Police, while Kulwinder Singh (48th) was the lone scorer for the Patiala team.

In other matches, Himachal XI upset BSF Jalandhar 2-1 with a last-minute penalty corner conversion, ASC Jalandhar and Hockey Chandigarh played out a 2-2 draw, while RCF Kapurthala eased past West Central Railway Jabalpur, winning 6-2 after trailing 0-2 in the first quarter.
