Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan (in pic) claimed a hat-trick during a Big Bash League match between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers here today.

Playing for Adelaide Strikers, Rashid dismissed James Vince (27), Jordan Silk (16) and Jack Edwards (0) on the last two balls of the 10th over and the first delivery of the 12th over. It was the fifth hat-trick of the BBL.

However, Rashid, who returned with figures of 4/22, couldn’t save his team from defeat as the Sixers registered a two-wicket win.

Just over an hour later, Pakistan fast bowler Hanif Rauf took a hat-trick for Melbourne Stars against Sydney Thunder. There have been at least six other times when two bowlers took a T20 hat-trick on the same day. — PTI
