Chandigarh, January 8

Delhi’s Shreyaan Goel defeated Wesley Do Rosario of Haryana 11-3 11-8 7-11 11-7 to win the boys’ U-19 final during the UTT 65th National School Games Table Tennis Championships, under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI), at Sama Indoor Sports Stadium in Vadodara on Wednesday.

Another Delhi player, Tisha Kohli won the girls’ title by defeating Vidhi Shah of Maharashtra 11-6 8-11 11-9 12-10. In the boys’ U-17 final, Delhi’s Payas Jain defeated Aniket Sen Choudhury of West Bengal in a tough battle 12-10 9-11 12-10 11-7. Currnet national champion Munmun Kundu of West Bengal won the girls’ U-17 final by defeating Vanshika Bhargava of Delhi 11-7 11-6 11-4. In the girls’ U-19 team championship final, Maharashtra defeated Delhi 3-2, whereas West Bengal boys defeated Maharashtra 3-0 to win the boys’ U-19 team title. In the girls’ U-17 category, West Bengal defeated Tamil Nadu 3-2.
