Chandigarh, November 26

City athlete Simran Kaur won the bronze medal in the 200m of the girls’ U-16 category during the 17th Milo National Inter District Junior Athletics Meet, concluded today at Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh). She clocked 26.20s to finish third in the event. Sharon Maria of Tamil Nadu claimed the gold medal in 25.77s, while Soumita Paul of West Bengal finished second by clocking 26.12s. Athletics coach Iqbal Singh congratulated Simran, who is a student of PMLSD Public School (Sector 32).
