Spurs make their fortunes bright by sinking Brighton

Harry Kane and Dele Alli led a second-half fightback as Tottenham Hotspur finally came to life to claim a 2-1 home victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League today.

Captain Kane followed up his own shot to equalise in the 53rd minute and cancel out Adam Webster’s first-half header and Alli put Spurs ahead in the 72nd, knocking in a pass from Serge Aurier.

Elsewhere in the league, goals from Michael Obafemi and Nathan Redmond earned improving Southampton a surprise 2-0 win at Chelsea. Klopp feels hectic festive schedule is a ‘crime’

London: Liverpool boss Juergen Klopp has described the Premier League’s hectic festive schedule as a “crime” against some teams that are forced to play two matches in the space of 48 hours. The league leaders take on Leicester City today and host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. “It is absolutely not OK,” Klopp told the British media. “None of the managers have a problem playing on Boxing Day, but playing on the 26th and 28th is a crime.” reuters
