Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan now seems to dislike the Mumbai film industry and looks towards Turkey or central Asia for ‘our’ history and heritage, but there was a time when he was a hot favourite with the Bombay film industry.

A photograph that is being widely shared on social media and groups is a reminder of those times, when he was a top cricketer. The photograph shows a garlanded Imran Khan with matinee idols Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand and Manoj Kumar, along with renowned Pakistani actor Muhammad Ali.

The photograph seems to be taken in the late 1970s or the early 1980s, when Imran Khan used to be a regular in Mumbai’s film parties.

Later, when Imran was raising funds to construct a cancer hospital in Pakistan, top film personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Aamir Khan helped in the efforts.
