Former West Indies cricket players Viv Richards and Carl Hooper have demanded an apology from their former team mate Brian Lara for “misrepresenting” them in his book, ‘Lara: The England Chronicles’.

Lara in his book has mentioned that Richards in the dressing room was intimidating and that he would make Carl Hooper cry once a week and Lara once in three weeks.

In a joint statement, Richards and Hooper have said that such was not the case; on the contrary, Richards acted as a mentor to junior players.

They have demanded that Lara apologise for painting them in bad light.
