World C’ships: Sajan ends 25th, fails to make semis

India’s swimmer Sajan Prakash failed to move to the semifinals, finishing 25th in the men’s 200 metres butterfly event of FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. He clocked 1:58.67 to finish eighth in his heat. American Katie Ledecky dominated the women’s 1,500m freestyle event to claim her second gold medal. Earlier, Romanian teenager David Popovici smashed the world junior record as he powered to victory to take gold in the men’s 200m freestyle event.

Rohit, Gill hit nets ahead of fifth Test against England
