Anmol Kharb achieved a remarkable feat by securing her second consecutive title, winning the Poland International with a straight-game victory over Switzerland’s Milena Schnider in the women’s singles final held in Lublin. The 17-year-old, who clinched her maiden international title at the Belgian International last week, outclassed the seventh seed Schnider 21-12 21-8.

Pranavi cards her best LET score, finishes seventh

Rookie Indian professional Pranavi Urs fired a sensational 6-under 66 to finish tied-seventh place at the La Sella Open golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour. Pranavi, who shot rounds of 72-71-71-66, totalled 8-under and rose from tied-26 after the third round. It was her fourth Top-10 of the season and will see her climb further on the Order of Merit. Ridhima Dilawari, who was T-15 after two rounds, slipped to T-51, while Tvesa Malik was T-57.

McLaren’s Lando Norris dominated the Singapore Grand Prix from start to finish to take another chunk out of Max Verstappen’s Formula One championship lead. The 24-year-old Briton roared away from pole position at the floodlit circuit and, despite living dangerously at times as he twice brushed the unforgiving walls, led every lap to the chequered flag. Verstappen finished second for Red Bull and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri was third.

Forwards Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha both scored twice to help Barcelona thrash hosts Villarreal 5-1 as the visitors maintained their perfect start in LaLiga with a sixth consecutive victory. Meanwhile, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain dropped their first points in the French League when they were held at Reims to 1-1. In Turin, Antonio Conte’s return to Juventus started with jeers for the former Bianconeri hero. It ended 0-0 between Juventus and Conte’s Napoli.
