In the viral video, sarpanch Sonu Kanwar, dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, confidently addressed the audience in English, leaving everyone, including Dabi, visibly impressed. “I am glad to be part of this day. First of all, I welcome our collector Tina ma’am. Being a woman, it’s an honour to welcome Tina ma’am,” the sarpanch said. She proceeded to talk about water conservation. Her speech drew applause from the crowd and admiration from Dabi, who was astonished by Kanwar’s language skills.

The viral video garnered attention, with people praising the sarpanch’s speech. One such social media user wrote on X, ‘This is the strength of today’s women of our nation’.

Another user said, ‘Indian women have great talents and wisdom’.

A third added, ‘Our country needs educated leaders’.

Tina Dabi first gained attention by securing the top rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam in 2015 on her first attempt. She began her administrative journey as an Assistant Collector in Ajmer. Before her recent posting in Barmer, she was serving as the Commissioner of the Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) in Jaipur. Dabi has also held the position of District Collector in Jaisalmer.

Her sister Ria Dabi also cracked the UPSC exam in 2020 with an all-India rank of 15. In a recent reshuffle, Dabi’s husband Pradeep Gawande was transferred from Bikaner to Jalore.
