A bone-chilling video shared on social media captured a multi-story building with a crane on top collapsing into a large cloud of dust, while bystanders screamed and fled. This was caused by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that has shaken Bangkok, with its epicentre in Myanmar, about 50 kilometres (30 miles) east of the city of Monywa. Witnesses in Bangkok reported that people rushed into the streets in a state of panic, with many hotel guests seen in bathrobes and swimming attire. Police were at the scene near Bangkok's well-known Chatuchak Market, but had no immediate details on how many workers were present when the building fell.
