An ironic incident took place when a Twitter user expressed his agony before Punjab police seeking security against a potential danger that could befall him. The man, Sushant Dutt, in his tweet, told police how he got beaten up badly by the husband of a lady who he sent ‘I like you’ message the other day.

The man claims he repeatedly apologized for his act but the woman’s husband kept on beating him. Now, the man seeks police intervention fearing threat from same man again. “Sir I send ‘I Like u’ message to someone, her husband came and beaten me badly yesterday night even I apologize again and again. But now Im worrying about my Safety plz do needful, plz help and Safe my life, Today they might be attack again: #PS D- Division Amritsar,” the caption of text written on screenshot, shared by Punjab police, reads.

Punjab police replied the grievance which has left twitterati in splits. Police firstly questioned the man’s expectation while sending unwarranted message to the women and later condemned the act of man who had beaten him saying he should have rather reported to police and latter would have served the case under requisite sections. Police later said both offences, complainant sending message to accused’s wife and accused beating up the man for the act, will be taken care of as per law.
