'Fake, mischievous claims': Shilpa Shetty denies receiving Rs 15 crore from Raj Kundra

The allegations surfaced in connection with a ₹60 crore cheating case being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police.
Shilpa Shetty's lawyer called the reports "totally fake and mischievous" and stated that the information was intentionally planted to defame the actress.
He announced that Shilpa Shetty will initiate criminal and civil cases against media outlets that circulated the news without verifying the truth.
The actor has also moved the Bombay High Court seeking relief against the defamatory campaign.
Despite the allegations, Shilpa Shetty's lawyer assured that they will continue to cooperate with the investigation agencies.
Meanwhile, the Economic Offences Wing is probing the ₹60 crore cheating case, in which Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are named as accused along with others.
Raj Kundra reportedly told investigators that he paid part of the ₹60 crore to actors Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia, and producer Ekta Kapoor as professional fees.
