As the video went viral online, netizens jumped in to share their perspective on the incident. In a very divided comment section, some praised the father for teaching his kids manners, while others called him out for bad parenting.

“Good. Character building,” wrote a user, while another said, “Not a good start to a long term healthy relationship between a father and son.” Some also thought the child deserves it. “Kid probably deserves it. It's already better than corporal punishment,” a user commented.

However, many Reddit users simply treated this as a funny incident and had a good laugh about it. “Ngl this is funny,” read a comment under the post. “Father bad example. Put in wrong bin. That's why our recycling rate is so low,” joked another.
