Chakma’s journey with cancer was a challenging one, as she revealed in an Instagram post just last month. Initially opting to battle the disease alone, she eventually shared she had malignant phyllodes tumour (breast cancer). It later metastasized into her lungs and head (brain tumour).

Chakma said that she was undergoing chemotherapy in the hopes of eventually undergoing brain surgery.

However, it posed significant challenges, exhausting her family’s savings and accepting donations.

Chakma remained grateful for the love she received from well-wishers.
