Not long after his attempt at making jalebis went viral, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s engagement with the Sikh community is again drawing attention online.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister attended the Kabaddi World Cup tournament held at the Sport Complex on the grounds of the Takanini Gurdwara.

New Zealand MP Rima Nakhle highlighted Luxon’s continued involvement with the Sikh Indian community in an Instagram post, noting that he had visited Takanini for the second week in a row to support annual community events.
Luxon also shared his experience on X, writing, “A pleasure to join local MP Rima Nakhle and team supporters at the Kabaddi World Cup in Takanini today. Good luck to all involved!”
