Singer, composer, actor and now an internet sensation Himesh Reshammiya kickstarted his first-ever ‘Cap Mania Tour’ in India with a sold-out show in Mumbai that is still all over social media.

Clad in a trench coat and his trademark cap, Himesh took fans on a trip through the early 2000s – an era he practically owned with hits like ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’, ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’, ‘Tera Suroor’ and ‘Aap Ki Kashish’.

With over 11,000 fans swaying to his signature nasal tunes, it was less of a concert and more of a congregation of a loyal cult.

Fans called it “the best concert of my life,” and Instagram is flooded with videos of an audience screaming lyrics back at the ‘I Love You Sayyoni’ singer.

And those who were not there?

Well, they are drowning in FOMO (fear of missing out).

And yes, the man brought out the memes too. Mid-concert, he asked, “Thoda regular gau ya naak se?” to which the crowd collectively demanded, “Naak se!”

And it’s not over.

Delhi, brace yourself

After Mumbai, the ‘Cap Mania Tour’ is heading to Delhi on July 19. Show goers would enter themed zones named after his songs – ‘Suroor Zone,’ ‘Jhalak Zone,’ ‘Hookah Bar Lounge.’ Free HR caps would be handed out, signalling their spot in the Lord Himesh fandom.

Tickets are flying off the charts. Google Trends confirms it: ‘Himesh Reshammiya tickets in Delhi’ has become one of the top queries. VIP fans can even shell out Rs 25,000 for a ‘Badass Pit Meet n Greet’ experience, a nod to Reshammiya’s latest film ‘Badass Ravi Kumar’, that went viral earlier this year.

Jai Mata Di, Let’s Rock!
