A passenger travelling in Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express turned anxious when the train diverted its track considering maintenance work at usual route. The perturbed traveler right away took to Twitter to announce that the train had been hijacked and asked for help while tagging IRCTC and DRM Secunderabad in his tweet. “Dear @IRCTCofficial @drmsecunderabad train no-12650 has been hijacked please help!!!! #train hijacked #Help,” the caption of the now deleted tweet reads.

The Railway Seva handle, meant to support rail users, took cognisance of the Tweet and alerted RPF to take note of the issue.

RPF probed the matter and found that the train was diverted as some work was going on between Kazipeta and Ballrasha considering which the train was diverted. “Sir, the work is going on between Kazipeta and Ballrasha and hence, the train was diverted his route through Hyderabad divsion. Don’t Panic,” the post by RPF, South Central Railway, reads.
