In Delhi, a recent addition to the diverse momos menu has sparked mixed reactions.

A viral video shared on an Instagram food page shows a roadside vendor’s unconventional method of preparing the beloved street snack. Instead of water, this vendor pours Pepsi in a steamer. Upon opening the steamer, customers are greeted with an unexpected sight: grey-hued momos with a few drops of Pepsi on them. These momos would likely have a subtle sweetness due to the soda’s flavour.

When questioned about this technique, the vendor explains that it was taught to him by the stall owner.

The video received a range of reactions from viewers. While some expressed astonishment at the innovation, others voiced concerns about the unusual colour and flavour combination.

One user called it ‘Zeher momos !!’, while another compared them to a ‘dehumidifier’.
