Poetic announcement by SpiceJet pilot leaves netizens amused, see viral video

Pilot’s announcements for on board passengers in flight is an established practice. From telling the height of flight from ground to the speed of aircraft, certain details are usually conveyed to the travellers. The style of the announcement is usually uniform but some pilots adopt unconventional ways to spread their message. The video of one such on board announcement is making the rounds on Twitter where a SpiceJet flyer made poetic announcement with rhyme scheme for passengers.

The now-viral video has been shared on Twitter by one of the flight occupants, Eepsita. She herself recorded the video while the announcement was being made. “In a @flyspicejet flight from Delhi to Srinagar & omg, the captain killed it! They started off in English, but I only began recording later. Idk if this is a new marketing track or it was the captain himself, but this was so entertaining & endearing!,” the post reads.

While the pilot makes poetic monologue, the flight occupants could be heard laughing over the peculiar announcement style adopted by him.

Owing to the post shared by Eepsita in praise of the Pilot, SpiceJet replied her and asked for her PNR number to convey her message to the captain she hailed in her post.   

Since being shared, the video has garnered over 1.2 lakh views. Netizens are calling the captain’s announcement creative and humorous. Many referred the pilot as a hidden poet.
