Social media hits it out of the park with Siraj memes following India’s Test win

India’s unexpected win at the fifth Test match against England has led to a major influx of memes and hilarious reactions, especially pertaining to bowler Mohammed Siraj, on social media.

India edged the opponents out by a mere six runs, largely owing to Siraj, who walked away from the match with 23 wickets, the highest of any bowler in both teams. He and Prasidh Krishna led the team to victory in the very last leg of the match.

Social media platforms, X in particular, have been rife with reactions and memes following the thrilling match. Many of them make a reference to Siraj’s viral “I am only believe on Jassi bhai” moment from 2024.

Notably, the Premiere League for India’s official account posted an edit of Siraj in the Manchester United jersey with the caption, “Siuuuraaaaaaj!”, a play on footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic celebration ritual.
