Sreeleela sparks wedding rumours with viral haldi photos

Actress Sreeleela has set social media abuzz with a series of photos that hint at her wedding.

The actress shared these pictures on Instagram Stories on Friday. In one of the photos, she is seen embracing a woman in pink, all smiles and clad in a pastel blue and cream saree, paired with traditional jewellery, jhumkas and a maang tikka, but what caught netizens’ attention was the subtle presence of a red bindi and a sindoor-like mark in the parting of her hair, commonly associated with married woman in North India.

The wedding speculation deepened with subsequent images. In them, Sreeleela appears in a pink outfit, her cheeks smeared with turmeric as elders apply haldi on her face. One frame captures a man, presumed to be a family member, gently applying turmeric while she beams with joy. Another image shows a tray with turmeric, kumkum and paan leaves.

The images quickly spread across social media. Some fans speculated it was her wedding or engagement, while others suggested it could be a cultural ritual.

“It is her star birthday – read about it,” one Reddit user suggested, referring to a South Indian tradition. Another asked, “But why is there sindoor in her maang? Unmarried women usually do not wear that.” A third clarified, “South Indian customs don’t have the same concept of sindoor. Unmarried women put kumkuma in the hair partying.”

The two recently wrapped a significant schedule, with Kartik posting a mirror selfie with her captioned, “Long but a very fulfilling Schedule Wrap #Diwali2025,” leading fans to buzz about their on-screen (and perhaps off-screen) chemistry.
