Entrepreneur Vithika Agarwal's viral video from Bengaluru airport paints a grim picture of the situation, with long queues and utter confusion reigning supreme.
“What you see here is people waiting in these long never-ending lines to try and get some food at the airport because they don’t know if their planes are rescheduled, flying, not flying, or cancelled,” she said.
Agarwal's Instagram video shows passengers waiting endlessly for food, with no clear information on flight schedules or cancellations. "The nightmare is real!" she warns, advising travelers to think twice before flying with IndiGo in the next 24-48 hours.
The airline has canceled over 300 flights on Thursday alone, with major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru bearing the brunt. On Wednesday, at least 150 flights were canceled, further exacerbating the situation.
IndiGo attributes the disruptions to crew shortages, technical glitches and increased congestion, while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the matter.
