A travelling ticket examiner (TTE) was assaulted by a passenger on a fast AC local train in Mumbai on Friday, the video of which has gone viral. The incident occurred when the ticketless passenger, travelling from Churchgate to Virar, was asked to pay a fine for not having a valid ticket.

The passenger, identified as Aniket Bhosale, started arguing over the fine with TTE Jasbir Singh, and soon the argument turned into a physical fight. The video of the incident showed Bhosale and other passengers fighting with Singh, allegedly tearing off his shirt.

Later, Bhosale admitted his mistake and gave a written apology to the authorities.
