As much as the relief the monsoon brings from the searing heat, the nasty aftermath it leaves behind, making city streets look like rivulets, is annoying.

Adding to the woes are the pothole-ridden roads that go missing in the flooded streets, often turning fatal at times.

Amid all the chaos lashed upon by the rain, a group of people from Madhya Pradesh came up with a unique way to protest against the government’s unkempt roads with pool-sized potholes.

Highlighting the poor condition of a road connecting Anuppur with Bijuri, Manendragarh, the residents of Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur held a Goa-style beach party in the middle of the road. Their location was just perfect as a large crater was filled with rainwater, accommodating them on chairs.

A video grab of the viral video.

In the video that went viral on social media, the residents can be seen sitting on chairs partially immersed in a big water-filled crater on the road, with their legs dipped in the muddy water accumulated after the rain.

They can be seen adorning beach-style outfits with shades and hats.

They all seem to have a blast and ‘chill’ as the party music plays along while they enjoy snacks and drinks.

Their ‘pothole party’ also shows a few saplings installed in smaller potholes around the crater as decorations.

Meanwhile, netizens reacted to the video with some criticising the authorities for being negligent about the common man’s issues, and others praising the positive attitude of the locals.

Well, life is a big party for people with a positive outlook.
