The successful Operation Sindoor carried out by India on Tuesday was aimed at bringing accountability and justice to those subhuman monsters who were responsible for the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Kwatra, said on Wednesday.

“This operation that we carried out was aimed at bringing accountability and justice to those subhuman monsters, those worst of the worst, who carried these territory attacks on the 22nd of April,” Kwatra told Fix news in a rare interview.

As many as 26 tourists, including one from Nepal, were shot dead by terrorists. On Tuesday, India successfully carried out retaliatory strikes at nine places in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Kwatra thanked US President Donald Trump for his support of India in this hour of crisis. “We are truly, truly thankful to President Trump. I think the best would be if our partners in the US would tell the Pakistanis to stop supporting these terrorists,” Kwatra said in response to a question.

Appearing on Fox News moments later, Pakistani Ambassador to the US Rizwan Sheikh said that his country reserves the right to strike back. “We deserve the right to respond also at the time of our own choosing, at the place of our own choosing,” he said.
