11 killed as Israeli tanks roll into Gaza camp

Israeli forces sent tanks into the western side of Gaza's Nuseirat camp in a new incursion into the enclave’s central area. Palestinian medics said Israeli strikes had killed 11 people since last night. Locals said Israeli tanks opened fire as they rolled into the camp.

Meanwhile, Israel’s new foreign minister said there had been progress in efforts to end the fighting with Hezbollah. But a spokesman for the militant group said it had not received any official proposal.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
