A French middle school employee was stabbed to death by a 15-year-old student, while the victim was checking bags on Tuesday at their school, east of Paris. The student has been detained, while a police officer helping with the bag checks was slightly injured during the arrest. The attack is being investigated.

“While she was looking after our children in Nogent, an educational assistant lost her life, a victim of senseless violence,” French President Emmanuel Macron said in a post on X.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
