They are intentionally killing them. They said aid is being stopped, being taken out of the hands of the United Nations and put into the hands of the death traps cruelly named Gaza Humanitarian Foundation because Hamas is looting the convoys, taking the aid.
It’s a lie. Both the U.S. and Israeli administration knew it was a lie and perpetrated it to allow for the continued blockade of desperately needed aid, including baby formula and the militarization of the limited aid entering Gaza, which was described by Medicines Sans Frontiers as “slaughter masquerading as aid.”
The lie was exposed by the American administration’s own USAID investigation that revealed there was no massive looting of aid by Hamas, according to a Reuters investigation. The New York Times quoted Israeli officials saying the same.
The Israeli and American administrations are lying to enable them to kill Palestinians, eradicate or relocate a population either through starvation, bullets, bombs, or drones. Why?
They want their land, their homes. U.S. President Trump has said it as has Israel’s Netanyahu. They want them gone, dead or to another country. Until now 60,000 Gazans have been killed but tens of thousands more are unaccounted for, buried beneath the sea of rubble that is now Gaza. Thousands of the dead are children.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Omer Bartov, Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, at Brown University in Cambridge, Mass,, explained that starvation used in war “is a war crime, it is a crime against humanity and it is also part of the definition of genocide.”
“Israel is deliberately inflicting on Palestinians conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction in whole or in part. This is section 3 of the genocide convention, so clearly this (starvation) is part of an attempt to make life impossible for Palestinians, either to force them out or to simply see them die where they are.”
Starvation as a tool of war is not new, he said. In WW2, the Germans had what he called a “politics of hunger” used in their dealings with the former Soviet Union, starving a million in Leningrad. It is for that reason that starvation used in war was included in the Genocide Resolution of 1948, explained Professor Bartov.
Both Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and his former defense minister have outstanding warrants issued by the International Criminal Court on charges that include using starvation as a tool of war.
However, Bartov wondered at the use of the term war, saying “there is not really a war going on in Gaza. Gaza is just being flattened by the IDF, being made impossible to live in, uninhabitably on a daily basis by the IDF.”
And still countries continue to send weapons, trade and aid, even as the lies are exposed and the genocide continues.
