Deadly King Cobra follows Vietnamese toddler into the house; hair-rising video shows what happened next

A hair-raising video of a king cobra trying to follow a toddler has gone viral. The video was shared on YouTube by ViralHog.

The clip showed the venomous snake—about two metres long— slithering on the shiny floor of a front yard in Vietnam with breathtaking speed as the child played on the floor.

The child’s grandfather, who was standing next to him, first noticed the snake making a move towards them. He couldn’t respond quickly, since he recently recovered from a stroke, so he shouted for help.

On hearing, the child’s father ran to their rescue.

The three rushed out of the house, and the child’s father immediately shut the door of their house as the snake slithered outside, trying to enter the house.

Unable to enter the house, the snake slithered all around, moving through toys and other items on the floor. Then, it moved out of the front yard.

The video has gone viral with over 86,000 views on YouTube.

One of the users said in the comments section: “Wow didn’t expect it to be that fast and agile based on the old man’s reaction when he initially spotted it. Good thing the younger guy was there for both him and the baby!”

As described in the caption of the post, the child’s mother said that the grandfather couldn’t act swiftly because he has just recovered from a stroke.

“He saw the snake slithering and he shouted out loud in order to call my husband to rescue the kid. Luckily, everyone is fine!”
