Four Australian police officers were killed in the line of duty when a speeding Indian-origin driver ploughed his truck into them here after he apparently suffered a “medical episode”. The truck driver Mohinder Singh Bajwa from Cranbourne suburb, veered into the emergency lane and travelled a short distance where the four police officers were standing. — PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
