India and Australia have agreed to deepen coordination on counter-terrorism, including intelligence sharing, joint law enforcement and tackling the misuse of emerging technologies by extremist groups, during the 15th meeting of their Joint Working Group (JWG) on Counter Terrorism in Canberra on Wednesday and Thursday.

The talks were co-chaired by Dr Vinod Bahade, Joint Secretary (Counter Terrorism) in the MEA, and Gemma Huggins, Australia's Ambassador for Counter-Terrorism. The two sides discussed ways to enhance ties in maritime security and counter-radicalisation efforts.
