Jared Kushner and US officials visited a major air base in the UAE on Tuesday, as Iran’s supreme leader called the UAE’s recognition of Israel “treason that will not last for long.” It was the first-ever direct commercial passenger flight between the two countries after they established ties.

Kushner and US National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien met Emirati Maj Gen Falah al-Qahtani, a top defense official. O’Brien said, “We have stood together to fight extremism in all of its forms.”
Kusher left a message, “May the relationship with the US continue to grow and together.”
In Iran, Ali Khamenei said, “The UAE committed treachery against either the Islamic world and regional countries.” — Agencies
