Trump says Tehran needs to move quickly on N-proposal
US President Donald Trump on Friday said Iran has his administration’s proposal and knows it needs to move quickly, a day after saying Washington and Tehran were close to a nuclear deal.
“They have a proposal. More importantly, they know they have to move quickly or something bad—something bad’s going to happen,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One after departing the UAE.
An Iranian source close to the negotiating team, said Tehran has yet to receive the US proposal, “but Oman has got it and will hand it over to Tehran soon”.
Israel launched dozens of airstrikes across northern and southern Gaza, killing 108, mostly women and children, local health officials said. There had been widespread hope that Trump’s regional trip could usher in a ceasefire deal or renewal of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Speaking to reporters at a business forum in Abu Dhabi, Trump said he was looking to resolve a range of global crises, including Gaza. “We're looking at Gaza,” he said. “And we’ve got to get that taken care of. A lot of people are starving. Bad things going on.”
