A 40-year-old man was found dead near a canal in Morinda here on Sunday. The victim has been identified as advocate Kulbir Chauhan, a resident of Kharar. He was practising as an income tax consultant in Sector 22, Chandigarh. He had left for Khanauri village near Morinda on July 31 and was missing since then.

Biker killed in road mishap

Zirakpur: A 25-year-old youth was killed after his bike skidded near Chhat village on the Zirakpur-Patiala road. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar, a resident of Rampur Kalan, Zirakpur. He was trying to save a stray dog that came in front of his two-wheeler and he slipped. He was taken to a hospital where he breathed his last. — TNS
