Youth found dead in car at Zirakpur

Zirakpur, June 12

The police today found the body of a youth in a car outside an eatery in Shatabgarh village here.

The youth has been identified as 28-year-old Raghav Narang, a resident of Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh. He is survived by his wife and five-year-old son, the police said.

The police suspect that the youth died of a heart attack but the exact cause of the death would be known after the postmortem.

Zirakpur SHO Onkar Singh Brar said, “Information was received that the body of a youth was found in a luxury car, with windows rolled up, outside an eatery in Shatabgarh.”

“There were no signs of injuries on his body,” he said, adding that the body has been sent to the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi.

Family members said the deceased was undergoing de-addiction.

Last night, he had come to Zirakpur for some work and told her wife that his car had broken down and he would be late. But he did not come home, following which a search was launched, said the police.

The police have initiated action under Section 174 of the CrPc.
