20-year-old girl’s body found in canal

A 20-year-old girl’s body was recovered from Malukpura minor (sub canal) in Abohar today. The deceased has been identified as Radha of Kerakhera village.

The girl’s uncle Rameshwar Lal said the girl had gone to the library at 11 am on Saturday, but when she did not return till evening, a search was started and the police was informed. He received information about the girl’s body being found in Malukpura minor on Sunday and went to identify her.

He said Radha’s parents had died last year and she lived with his family. Due to her parents’ death, she was disturbed. The body has been kept in the mortuary at a government hospital in Abohar.
