F’bad admn restricts movement of govt staff

Faridabad, April 30
The local authorities have promulgated an order to restrict the movement of residents, including government staff, from and to the district immediately.
In the order issued here on Tuesday night, DC Yashpal Yadav has stated that to curb Covid spread, entry to or exit from the district by residents, including police personnel, doctors, paramedical staff, bank employees, would not be allowed.
According to the order, the movement of government employees and other residents, who had been allowed to move to Delhi or other districts of the state in connection with their work, would not be allowed after 12 noon on Wednesday.
Those working in other cities or places like New Delhi will have to make arrangements to stay at their workplace. This restriction will be in place till May 3.
However, ambulances, vehicles transporting essential commodities and supplies and those involved in banking and gas services will be allowed.
Holders of special movement passes issued by the Union Government will also be allowed to move across the border, it adds.
A total of 46 Covid positive cases have surfaced here so far.
Earlier, Haryana’s Home Minister Anil Vij had announced the sealing of the state”s borders with Delhi with strict restrictions imposed on those coming from the national capital.
Claiming that many of the Covid cases in Sonepat, Gurugram and Faridabad have been found to have contracted the infection from the national capital, Vij had said that daily movement of employees working in Delhi but residing in Haryana had increased the Covid risk.
