The Ultimate Test is finally here as the giants of world cricket, India and Australia, collide in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023. The much-awaited encounter is slated to take place from Wednesday, June 7-11 at the iconic Oval in London. India and the Aussies qualified for the summit clash after securing 127 and 152 points respectively on the points table of the 2021-23 cycle.

Both sides met earlier this year in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in India, where the hosts defeated the Kangaroos by a margin of 2-1 (4). After suffering defeats in the first two matches, the visitors bounced back brilliantly to clinch the third Test in Indore. The fourth and final game in Ahmedabad ended up in a draw with the Australians taking a lot of confidence after the completion of the series.

Notably, India has reached their second consecutive WTC Final as they faced New Zealand in the inaugural final held in Southampton in England in 2021. The Blackcaps beat India by eight wickets to become the first-ever World Test champions. Rohit Sharma and his men will look to get things right this time around and claim their first ICC title since winning the Champions Trophy way back in the year 2013.
