On Day 3 of the World Test Championship final (WTC) 2023, there were a lot of ups and downs for both sides. However, during the tea break of the day, a hilarious incident caught the eye of the fans.

During the tea break, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh gave his take on the game. However, one of the fans in the background was captured with a beer glass in the shot. One of the crew members gestured for the fan to take the glass away; this left the fan confused, as it took him quite some time to make the move and remove the glass out of the frame.

Australia manage to score 123 runs at the end of Day 3

Through the brilliant knocks of Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur, team India managed to notch up 296 runs on the board in the first innings. Rahane played a brilliant knock, amassing 89 runs in 129 deliveries, with Thakur scoring 51 runs in 109 balls. Both batters’ brilliant innings helped India post a respectable total on the board.

As Australia came in to bat in the second innings, they got off to the worst of starts as veteran batter David Warner was sent packing quite early into the innings by Mohammed Siraj. Warner only managed to score one run before he was sent back to the pavilion.

Furthermore, Usman Khawaja also succumbed to the relentless pressure from the Indian bowling attack. Khawaja only managed to score 13 runs before he was sent packing by Umesh Yadav.

The situation went from bad to worse for the Aussies after Steve Smith and Travis Head failed to make an impact as well. Both batters were sensational in the first innings, scoring a century each. However, the story was different in the second innings as Smith was dismissed for 34 runs, with Head only managing to score 18 runs.

By the end of Day 3, Australia had lost four wickets and had scored 123 runs, with Cameron Green and Marnus Labuschagne at the crease.
