2 women die as wall caves in at Nalagarh factory
Two women labourers died after being buried under the debris of a wall that caved in at a plastic factory at Gol Jamala village in Nalagarh on Thursday evening.
According to Baddi ASP Ashok Verma, the women were working at a site near a wall at Veer Plastic which caved in as heavy material was placed on it. The two were seriously injured. Locals pulled them out of the debris and took them to hospital.
Beto Devi was pronounced dead at a private hospital while Ruksana, who was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, later succumbed to her injuries.
A case of causing death due to negligence has been registered against the factory.
