“The Jaipur person who travelled to Dubai has unfortunately tested positive – it has been confirmed now. We have also got the manifest of the Spicejet flight he took from Dubai to Jaipur and are doing due diligence on that. Intense contact tracing is going on,” Singh said.

“A Jaipur based 85-year-old male, who returned from Dubai on 28th Feb had shown symptoms of novel virus. He was presumptive (first test) positive. However, the first confirmatory test was inconclusive so we are repeating with fresh sample and it was confirmed positive on Tuesday.”

His wife who travelled with her to Dubai, the doctor who treated them here and son has been kept in isolation. The latter don’t have symptoms.

A total of 235 people who came in contact with the octogenarian and his family have already been traced and are being monitored, he said.
