15 passengers injured as bus crashes into divider on Panipat-Rohtak highway
Fifteen people sustained injuries in an accident near the Dahar Toll Plaza on the Panipat-Rohtak highway. A Haryana Roadways bus rammed into an iron pole at the toll plaza and came to a stop on the divider.
Several people, including toll plaza employees, helped the injured passengers and rushed them to a private medical college in Israna for treatment.
According to available information, the bus was on its way to Rohtak from Chandigarh on Thursday. As the bus neared the Dahar Toll Plaza, the driver lost control. The bus rammed into an iron pole on the plaza’s divider and then came to a stop. Due to the high speed, several passengers aboard sustained injuries.
As per the reports, the injured have been identified as Nayara (2) of Jind, Rajwanti (65) of Panipat, Anu (25) and her two children Vanshika and Shaurya of Rohtak, Mahesh of Jhajjar, Poonam of Bhiwani, Annu of Rohtak, Sushil Kumar of Jhajjar, and Krishan Kumar of Karnal and others.
The Israna police reached the spot after getting information and began a probe into the matter.
