Actor and host Gunjan Utreja recently released his new show, titled Chalk & Cheese. The profits earned through this celebrity couple game show will go to the Covid-19 relief fund. In a candid chat, he talks about the new normal, social distancing and mental health…
What has been you biggest learning from this pandemic?
I have always tried to maintain a balance between my personal and professional life. But this pandemic has taught me to live in the moment. The entire world was planning great technological advancements in all spheres of life, but nature had different plans for us.
How are you keeping yourself busy?
Ever since the lockdown was announced, I got busy with this show. It’s out on Jio Cinema and Jio Studios. My music video Judaai, which was shot before the lockdown, is now on air. I got an opportunity to relax, work on my health, binge-watch movies and spend quality time with my family.
Do you think this trend of shot-at-home films will continue?
The shot-at-home trend was always there. Bhuvan Bam and many YouTube stars created their brand, all shooting at home. It has its own audience.
How do you see the production work after the lockdown?
The world has changed and will never be the same again! We will surely see better hygiene. Pre-production work will be more so that we spend less time on the sets. Actors will be well prepared than earlier. Better trained actors and technicians will get more opportunities.
