Dushyant Chautala alleges Rs 100-crore land scam in Kaithal, seeks judicial probe
JJP national president Dr Ajay Singh Chautala inaugurated the party's new state office at Rohtak on Friday. He said the party would now focus on revamping its organisation by appointing heads of constituencies and making new members.
"Till now, the party's national and state offices were being run in Chandigarh. The state office has now been opened at Rohtak on party workers’ demand. State-level meetings will be held at the party's state office in Rohtak on the 5th and 20th of every month," said Dr Ajay Chautala.
The JJP leader maintained that the party posters and banners would bear the images of late Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala.
He said a delegation of the JJP leaders would meet the Governors of Haryana and Punjab and demand Haryana's due share of water in Bhakra and SYL canals.
The JJP leader said a membership drive would be launched in the state from June 10 to July 10.
Randhir Singh Chikka was appointed JJP chief general secretary and Ravinder Sangwan was made state office secretary of the party.
Several youth leaders, including Sarpanch Vicky Dhankhar, joined the JJP in presence of Dr Ajay Chautala and former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala during the party's state-level meeting today.
Addressing a news conference on the occasion, Dushyant Chautala alleged that a chunk of prime land measuring nearly 4 acres located in Kaithal district, which could have fetched a price of about Rs 125 crore, was sold to a private builder for just Rs 12.5 crore in connivance with certain officers, which indicates a big scam.
Dushyant demanded a judicial probe by a retired high court judge into the matter.
In response to a query, Dushyant stated that Haryana had surplus water while the JJP was a coalition partner in the state, while now there was an acute crisis of water owing to mismanagement.
