Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that all political parties were united on the issue of securing Haryana’s share of water and criticised Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for being confrontational rather than cooperative. Addressing a press conference after an all-party meeting, Saini mentioned that a resolution was passed condemning the Punjab Government’s actions as unconstitutional.

Saini clarified that Haryana had not yet decided on convening a Vidhan Sabha session. The decision would depend on the outcome of the Punjab Assembly session and the BBMB meeting scheduled for 5 pm. “All our options are open,” he added. Saini also urged Mann to draw inspiration from the teachings of the Gurus, which advocate for sharing.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders, including BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, Ministers Anil Vij, Shruti Choudhry, Ranbir Gangwa, and Sham Singh Rana. Congress was represented by state chief Udai Bhan and former chief minister Bhupinder Hooda. Other attendees included AAP state chief Sushil Gupta, JJP’s former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, former MLA Amarjit Dhanda, INLD’s state chief Rampal Majra, and MLA Aditya Devilal.
