Chairing a meeting of the State-Level Advisory and Monitoring Committee to review various Central Government schemes in Chandigarh, he directed that the Dadumajra garbage dump be cleared within deadline committed by the Municipal Corporation before NGT, Parliament and the High Court.

Tewari asked the Chandigarh Housing Board to consider an amnesty scheme — one-time settlement scheme — for those unable to clear their dues to financial difficulties.
